Cat Rambo è un autore molto apprezzato nel genere della science fiction e della fantasy (SF/F). Attualmente risiedono e lavorano nel Midwest e il loro lavoro è stato selezionato per diversi premi, tra cui il Premio Endeavour, il Premio Locus, il Premio World Fantasy e il Premio Nebula.
Il romanzo d'esordio di Rambo, Beasts of Tabat, è stato pubblicato nel 2015 da WordFire Press, e da allora hanno pubblicato diverse altre opere, tra cui Exiles of Tabat e Devil's Gun. Oltre alla loro attività di scrittore di fiction, Rambo è anche un abile editor e ha co-editato opere notevoli come Ad Astra: Il Cookbook del 50° anniversario della SFWA. Hanno lavorato come editor di fiction per la pluripremiata Fantasy Magazine e hanno visto le loro storie pubblicate su varie piattaforme, tra cui Asimov's, Weird Tales e Strange Horizons.
Lo stile di scrittura di Rambo è noto per la sua narrazione unica e immaginativa, che spesso si svolge in un universo dove creature mitologiche e elementi surreali sono intrecciati con ambientazioni contemporanee.
