Dan Yaccarino è un acclamato autore e illustratore noto per i suoi prolifici contributi alla letteratura per l'infanzia e all'animazione. Ha scritto e illustrato oltre tre dozzine di libri per bambini, inclusi collaborazioni con figure di spicco come Margaret Wise Brown, Jack Prelutsky, Kevin Henkes e Patricia MacLachlan. Le sue opere sono state esposte a livello internazionale, ed è stato onorato con un invito alla Casa Bianca per condividere i suoi libri e partecipare alle festività pasquali.
