Harry Sidebottom è uno storico e scrittore britannico di rilievo, noto soprattutto per la sua serie di romanzi storici "Throne of the Caesars" e "Warrior of Rome". Nato a Cambridge, Inghilterra e cresciuto a Newmarket, Sidebottom è entrato in contatto con il mondo dei cavalli da corsa grazie alla professione del padre come allenatore. La sua formazione iniziale è avvenuta presso la Fairstead House School e The King's School, Ely, prima che si iscrivesse all'Università di Lancaster per conseguire la laurea in Storia Antica. Successivamente, Sidebottom ha ottenuto la laurea magistrale all'Università di Manchester nel 1982 e ha completato il dottorato al Corpus Christi College.
