Jamie Mason è un autore canadese noto per i suoi lavori di science fiction e fantasy dark, spesso arricchiti da temi assurdisti e da una visione fatalista del mondo. Le sue short stories sono state pubblicate su riviste importanti, come On Spec, Abyss & Apex e Canadian Science Fiction Review. Mason è un membro attivo di PEN Canada e firmatario del Leap Manifesto. Attualmente risiede sull'Isola di Vancouver, dove trae ispirazione dalla natura selvaggia canadese, sebbene in via di estinzione. Oltre alla scrittura, Mason ha avuto una carriera professionale variegata, lavorando come analista in un think-tank, business manager, musicista professionista e investigatore privato.
