John Baxter è uno scrittore, giornalista e regista australiano noto per i suoi contributi alla fantascienza e alla letteratura cinematografica. Nato a Randwick, nel Nuovo Galles del Sud, nel 1939, ha iniziato la sua carriera nei primi anni '60 con racconti di fantascienza pubblicati su riviste come "New Worlds" e "Science Fantasy".
