Julius Lester

Julius Lester è stato un autore americano affermato, nato nel 1939, che ha apportato importanti contributi alla letteratura attraverso le sue opere di fiction, non-fiction, libri per bambini e poesia. Durante la sua carriera, ha ricevuto numerosi riconoscimenti per le sue scritture, tra cui la Newberry Honor Medal, il libro notevole della American Library Association, finalista del National Jewish Book Award, il libro eccezionale di The New York Times, finalista del National Book Critics Circle Award, il libro d'onore Caldecott, il Boston Globe-Horn Book Award e finalista del National Book Award. Oltre alla scrittura, Lester è stato un accademico di successo, insegnando per 32 anni all'Università del Massachusetts Amherst.
