Marko Kloos è un autore di grande successo di romanzi di science fiction e fantasy militari, noto soprattutto per la sua serie Frontlines. Nato in Germania, Kloos si trasferì poi negli Stati Uniti per intraprendere una carriera nella scrittura. Prima di trovare la sua vocazione come autore, svolse una varietà di lavori, tra cui il servizio nell'esercito, il lavoro in ambito IT, la vendita di libri, il lavoro su un molo di carico e il supporto tecnico. Tra tutti questi lavori, Kloos trovò il periodo come padre casalingo il più gratificante, al di fuori della scrittura.
Kloos è un autodefinitosi nerd che legge science fiction fin da quando era abbastanza giovane da avere una tessera della biblioteca. Il suo amore per il genere è evidente nella sua scrittura, poiché crea mondi immersivi e personaggi avvincenti che conquistano i lettori. L'amore di Kloos per la science fiction e la sua vasta esperienza lavorativa si sono fusi per creare il suo stile di scrittura e voce unici.
Oltre alla sua carriera di scrittore, Kloos è laureato presso il Viable Paradise SF/F Writers' Workshop. Attualmente risiede nel New Hampshire con sua moglie, due figli e una muta di dachshund. Il viaggio di Kloos da veterano dell'esercito tedesco a autore di successo negli Stati Uniti è una testimonianza del suo duro lavoro, dedizione e amore per il genere della science fiction.
