Noam Chomsky

Noam Chomsky è una figura di spicco nei campi della linguistica, della filosofia e dell'attivismo politico. Nato il 7 dicembre 1928 a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Chomsky ha studiato all'Università della Pennsylvania per la sua formazione di laurea e post-laurea. Attualmente è un Institute Professor e Professor Emeritus di Linguistica al Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), dove ha trascorso più di mezzo secolo.

Chomsky è ampiamente considerato il padre della linguistica moderna e uno dei maggiori esponenti della filosofia analitica. È noto per la sua teoria della grammatica generativa, che ha rivoluzionato il campo della linguistica nel XX secolo.
